Linked to Keelung, Taiwan by a short causeway, Peace Island stands at the entrance to Keelung Harbor. Given its strategic position, it is no surprise several areas of the island are occupied by the military and closed to the public. The northwestern side is a public park with a lovely beach and a long stretch of rocky coastline eroded over thousands of years by wind and seawater.
